Tools and Supplies

The following are some of my favorite tools and supplies that I currently own and use for my own design, illustration, photography projects. Any recommendation below is of my own opinion on the product, and not an official endorsement.

Tombow Dual Brush Pens – I use these for a lot of lettering and illustration projects. They work great for watercoloring.

Tomboy Advanced Lettering Set Markers – A great starter set for lettering with four colors of Dual Brush Pens, a blender, two Tombo fudenosuke calligraphy pends, a MONO twin Permanent marker, a MONO drawing pencil and a MONO eraser.

Kuretake Fude Brush Pen – These are the most amazing metallic brush pens. The color is the best of any I have used.

Watercolor Confections: Shimmering Lights – Metallic watercolors, have I told you how much I love metallics and watercolors?

Pentel Aquash Water Brushes – I use these for both lettering and illustration. The set is great for traveling, three brushes which you load with distilled water. I don’t need much more.

Leuchturm1917 Medium Hardcover Sketchbook – I decided to break my pattern of Moleskine sketchbooks this time. I think they are both great. I do love the emerald color of the cover.

Adonit Pixel Pressure Sensitive iPad Stylus – Do you have an iPad (not pro) and want to use it to draw in Procreate? Here is the stylus for you.

Tracing Light Box – I still like to do my illustrations on paper and when you need to trace something this is the best thing for tracing. Gone are the days of the bulky light box. This one fits in my laptop case, is only a quarter inch thick and can go anywhere with me. I can even trace heavy watercolor paper with it. I don’t know what I would do without it. An affordable price makes it one of my favorite illustration tools.
