Designer Resources

I’m always doing design research. I found that it was necessary to pull all my research together to help others. This page is available to all designers and anyone else that can find it helpful. If you have anything to add please do so in the comments. I would love to have other’s contribute and collaborate on this ever-growing project. I have an even more expanded list of resources on my pinterest board.

Creative Professional Development

People ask me all the time about where they can learn to be more creative, to improve their skills and to acquire more technical skills. I have compiled a list of professional development resources for creatives and others to help.

CreativeLive offers free, real-time training in photo & video, art & design, music & audio, craft & maker, and money & life. Re-broadcasts of these courses are all available for purchase.

Skillshare offers courses featuring a variety of instructors teaching in their specialty. Some classes are free, while others are a one-time purchase, subscription is also available.

Acumen and Novoed offer up a number of courses. I’m currently enrolled in IDEO’s Design Kit: The Course for Human-Centered Design.
